Markus Pröll-Schobel studied Applied Business Administration with a focus on Marketing & International Management as well as Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship in Klagenfurt. After nearly 2.5 years as a business start-up consultant, he joined the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) in 2008, where he took over the management of the national funding program Spin-off Fellowships in March 2020.

Henrietta Egerth completed her studies in Business Administration at the University of Linz and then worked for several years in Brussels. Upon returning to Vienna, she worked for the Federation of Austrian Industries before joining the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Labor in 2000. Since 2004, she has been the Managing Director of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) and is a member of various committees and supervisory boards.

Peter Busch works for the CTO Office Mobility, which reports to the executive board of the Bosch Group and helps develop the Bosch Mobility Connectivity strategies. He has over 30 years of experience in international project management, coaching, and training in software/hardware development.

He holds a degree in Business Informatics from the University of Mannheim and has worked for his own startup, JP Morgan, Sun Microsystems, and the Bosch Group. His current interests and responsibilities include connected mobility, IoT technologies (including distributed ledger technologies, DLT), and their respective ecosystems and business models. In this role, he leads an international project with 19 partners from the startup scene, major industries, and various universities.

Christopher Lindinger is an innovation researcher and computer scientist renowned for his projects bridging art, technology, and industry.

In 1997, he joined the Ars Electronica Futurelab, holding the positions of Co-Director and Director for Research and Innovations. By 2019, he took on the role as Vice Rector for Innovation at Johannes Kepler Universität Linz. He is member of the founding convent of IDSA and was recently appointed as a professor for Digital Humanities in the Arts at the University Mozarteum Salzburg.

Mart is Investment Director for UniTartu Ventures and Head of Entrepreneurship at the University of Tartu. He is an executive with extensive international corporate business development experience in the financial sector in the Baltics and Nordics. His expertise focuses on shifting business models, creating collaborative leadership, and applying his studies of innovation management at Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Mart is an experienced entrepreneur, board member, and angel investor, and co-founded the Innovation Leaders Club in Estonia, among other ecosystem movements. As of spring 2021, Mart has focused on creating a platform where research-based entrepreneurship and early-stage investors meet and build up the portfolio of UniTartu Ventures.

UniTartu Ventures is a holding and investment company of the University of Tartu.

Head of Technology Transfer Vetmeduni Vienna, CBO RIANA Therapeutics

Christine is a technology transfer expert with a background in microbiology and two decades of experience in technology transfer. She has been working at Vetmeduni Vienna since 2004 and has been involved in technology transfer from the very beginning. She supported Vetmeduni Vienna scientists from awareness raising to business development for a variety of commercialization projects. In 2019, Christine initiated the innovative "Entrepreneurial Vetmed" program to empower the entrepreneurial skills of researchers. In 2010, she also took over the management of VetWIDI Forschungsholding GmbH and supported spin-offs such as ViruSure GmbH and Marinomed Biotech AG. In May 2023, Christine embraced a new role as Chief Business Officer at RIANA Therapeutics GmbH, a Vetmeduni spin-off dedicated to human cancer drug development.

Managing Partner at xista science ventures

Following a career in principal investment and strategy consulting spanning almost two decades and upon returning to Austria, Markus joined ISTA to build the team that is now driving the development of xista, the ecosystem to translate scientific findings into innovative products and services. With a broad exposure to natural sciences and technology at MIT ranging from molecular biology to electrical engineering, he gained experience in venture capital investing with Safeguard Scientifics and the European Investment Fund, strategy consulting with the Boston Consulting Group, and principal investment with QIA, one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds. Markus is founder and managing partner of xista science ventures as well as MD of xista science park and the tech transfer arm. He serves on the board of AUTM, the US tech transfer association, as well as Cutanos and Ribbon Biolabs.  

He holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School, an MSc from TU Vienna, and an MIM from WU Vienna and HEC Paris.

Viktoria is the Programme Manager of I.E.C.T. - Hermann Hauser and responsible for the Summer School, the Innovators Road Programme and other initiatives.

Her Master's degree in International Business and Management provides the foundation to understand current processes and find leverage points as starting points for change. Her further path led her to Ernst & Young, where she gained experience in auditing financial statements for companies and start-ups, as well as in preparing financial due diligence reports. This gave her insights into a wide variety of business models and industries. She is a curious and open-minded person who challenges the status quo in business and believes that we can achieve a sustainable economy through a strong rethink and new technologies.

Werner Wutscher is the founder and CEO of New Venture Scouting, where he connects the worlds of established (global) companies and startups to generate innovation and develop new business models. His professional competence lies within the public administration, food production, trade and the green-tech sector. Werner Wutscher unites many years of experience as business angel („Austrian Business Angel of the Year 2012“) as well as leading positions in the private sector and in the Austrian federal administration, where he spent more than 14 years in Senior Management Positions in businesses like Agrana Beteiligungs AG and REWE International AG. In addition, he is currently an active member of several national and international supervisory and advisory board committees. Besides having a degree in law from the Karl-Franzens-University Graz, Werner Wutscher holds a degree from Harvard University (USA).
